NORTH VERNON

Eddie Eugene Hibbs, 62, of North Vernon, died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at his residence.

Survivors include a daughter, Wendy (Charles) McDowell of Salem, Iowa; fiancée, Dawn Reeves of North Vernon; her children, Kristy (Lonny) Burton of Columbus, Sara Beth Hibbs and Jordan Arnholt of Taylorsville and Bobbie Sue Reeves of Madison; a son, James (Shauna) Hibbs of Elizabethtown; a brother, John Lee Hibbs Jr. of North Vernon; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; and a son, Shane Alan Hibbs.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Full Gospel Church in North Vernon.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Eddie’s grandchildren’s sports teams.
