NORTH VERNON

Gwendolyn R. “Gwen” Hess, 93, of North Vernonm died at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Jennings Healthcare.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Lou Thompson of Fort Wayne and Virginia Ruth Simmons, Mary Louise Hess and Leona Mae Hess, all of North Vernon; two sisters, Edith Willadean Harte and Leatrice Ann “Jackie” Ihrie, both of Van Buren; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Everett Hess; and a daughter, Sandra Sue Mason.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service.

Memorials may be made to the family for expenses.
