AIM Media Indiana, owner of The Tribune, has sold TraveliN Magazine, the quarterly, statewide travel and tourism publication serving the Indiana tourism industry.

The publication was sold to Travel Indiana LLC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Travel Indiana is owned by Jeffrey N. Brown, past chairman and CEO of Home News Enterprises, who has been serving most recently as president and CEO for all publications owned by AIM Media Indiana. AIM acquired the assets of Home News Enterprises in November.

In conjunction with this sale and purchase, Brown will be stepping down from his current positions with the company, and he will continue in a consulting role at AIM as senior advisor — office of the chairman.

Tonya Figg will continue as the publisher of TraveliN Magazine.

“We are most grateful and appreciative to Jeff for giving us the opportunity to acquire the assets of Home News Enterprises late last year and for his commitment and conviction to making our transition a smooth and easy one for all of us over these past few months,” said Jeremy L. Halbreich, chairman and CEO of AIM.

“Jeff and his entire family are widely admired, recognized and deeply respected for their longstanding dedication and leadership in the Columbus community,” he added.

Brown said he is appreciative of AIM for allowing him to continue in his former role as president of AIM Media Indiana after the sale of the newspaper company, Brown said.

“I look forward to pursuing my next challenge, which will include the continued growth of TraveliN Magazine and its associated products,” Brown said. “My family goes back six generations in this state, and we continue to grow family roots here. I believe TraveliN can be of service to the state’s burgeoning tourism industry as well as helping Hoosiers and others discover the treasures that make Indiana special.”

AIM Media Indiana owns and operates daily newspapers and related websites in Columbus, Franklin, Greenfield and Seymour; weekly newspapers and related websites in Brownstown, Edinburgh, Nashville, New Palestine and Pendleton; a variety of other weekly, monthly and shopper publications and related websites; digital marketing agency DigitalAIM; and a commercial printing business serving a broad range of clients.

The company is an affiliate of AIM Media Texas LLC, and both entities are managed by AIM Media Management LLC of Dallas, Texas.
