Members of Friends and Neighbors Extension Homemakers Club of Jackson County made their planned trip June 28 to the Indiana History Center in Indianapolis.
Martha McIntire made arrangements for the group’s tour of the present exhibition, which is titled “Back in Time” in keeping with the bicentennial celebration of our Indiana statehood. This was put together by the Indiana Historical Society.
Eleven members and one guest made the trip, which included a presentation of the scenarios chosen to depict various aspects of life in Indiana throughout the past 200 years.
The center is located near the hub of the state Capitol and adjacent to the White River Canal.
Those attending were members Donna Abner, Ruth Bateman, Carol Bobb, Joann Davidson, Rhonda Kidwell, Helen Lutes, McIntire, Ruby Niccum, Donna Patterson, Vera Robbins and Shirley Sears. Sandy Waltz was a guest.
