Irving Richard “Nippy” and Carol Kay Schneider of Seymour will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. July 23 with an open house hosted by their family at Redeemer Lutheran Church’s fellowship hall at Fifth and Walnut streets in Seymour.
All family and friends are invited. No gifts are requested, but guests may come prepared to share on a paper a special memory of time spent with the couple.
Irving and the former Carol Krienop were married July 23, 1966, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jonesville by the Rev. Richard E. Hasz.
The couple have five children, David (Anne) Schneider of Kokomo, Mary Anne Schneider of Columbus, Melissa Alexander, Jeremy (Jama Naylor) Schneider and Rachel (Jay) Schepman, all of Seymour; seven grandchildren, Christian and Stefan Price, Paige and Stephen Schneider, Celina Alexander and Lauren and Jackson Schepman.
She is the office manager at First Baptist Church in Seymour.
He is the owner/operator of Schneider’s Wood Shop Inc. and a member of the Redeemer Dartball Team. He also served in the National Guard.
Both are active members of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
