Carlos Landa Rodriguez, 54, of Seymour passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016, with his family by his side at his residence.

Born Feb. 26, 1962, in Vera Cruz, Mexico, he was the son of Carlos Landa, who preceded him in death, and Teresa Rodriguez Vazquez, who survives. On Sept. 28, 2013, at Tampico Christian Church, he married Janet Lynn Carr Landa, and she survives.

He worked at Royalty Roofing Co. and Smitty’s Painting.

Other survivors include his children, Carla Landa, Carlos Landa and Agustin Landa; grandchildren, Zoey and Kevin; stepchildren, Randy Carr Jr. and Tammy Carr; and stepgrandchildren, Lindsey, Maddie, Jordan and Damon.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Shannon Dale Carr.

The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service Thursday.
