A power outage Monday morning on the west side of Seymour left 498 customers without service for an hour and a half, according to Duke Energy.

The outage was first reported at 9 a.m., and power was restored at 10:30 a.m., said Chip Orben, Duke Energy’s government and community relations manager.

Orben said there were two trees near Seymour Middle School that got into power lines. The line was cleared and put back in service.
