A Seymour man died Tuesday afternoon after a one-vehicle wreck left him injured and trapped in his sport utility vehicle in North Vernon.

Aaron C. Brown, 39, of Seymour, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck on the east side of the city, according to a news release from the North Vernon Police Department.

A witness told police Brown was driving a white 2003 Ford Explorer west on U.S. 50 near Flintwood Drive when the vehicle went left of center, left the road, hit a tree and rolled on to the passenger side. The investigation continues into the cause of the accident.

North Vernon officers and other emergency workers were called to the wreck at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday.
