All Seasons Garden Club met July 11 at the home of Brenda Turner.

Turner and co-hostesses Karen Lanam and Joan Thompson served a variety of salads topped off with a sundae bar.

Jackie Sitphin was introduced as a guest of Martha Wilson. The door prize of a coral bell was won by Veronica Bowling.

Following a brief business meeting, the group toured Turner’s gardens. Of special interest were her amaryllis bulbs that were enjoying shade in preparation for their fall dormant phase inside before blooming in the winter.

The group also toured the daylily and hosta gardens at Lanam’s home. Numerous garden architectural pieces were placed among her lilies and hostas. Lanam revealed many were bid off at farm auctions and also “picker” finds on road trips with friends.

The Aug. 1 meeting of All Seasons Garden Club will be at the country home of Shirley Lewis. Lewis and co-hostess Sandy Kovener are planning a garden party.
