Old National Bank plans to open its new banking center at 1117 E. Tipton St., next to Kentucky Fried Chicken, in Seymour on Monday.

The new building replaces the old bank at the same address.

An existing Old National Bank site at 222 W. Second St. in the downtown will close Monday, and all accounts will transfer to the new location. The drive-up ATM at the downtown branch will remain open.

Plans are underway for a new tenant to purchase the downtown building, Old National Bank officials stated in a news release.

The new bank on East Tipton Street is a state-of-the art, energy-efficient building that includes a client learning area with an internet kiosk and conversation area, along with a dual-lane drive-thru and community room to provide meeting space for nonprofit and civic organizations.

“We’re really excited to introduce clients and the community to our great, new Tipton Street facility,” said Ray Eakins, market president and banking center manager.

As part of the banking center consolidation, office furniture from the downtown site was donated to 12 local community organizations.
