BROWNSTOWN

Nestled quietly amidst the ever familiar sounds of the county fair rests an attraction that is ready to bring its own thunder to the grounds. and crown its own grand champions.

The brilliant skyline of the midway and setting sun will lay backdrop to Brownstown Speedway as it hosts racing events Thursday and Saturday evenings this week.

The event also will serve as the 4th Annual Paul Crockett Memorial for the Super Late Model division.

Seymour’s Jeremy Hines also is a past winner of this event and is among the favorites as he looks to become the first two-time winner.

Also on the schedule for Saturday night will be UMP Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Pure Stocks.

Last year Joe Godsey, Jason Hehman and Jim Ruddick claimed victories in their own respective divisions.

Two Seymour drivers currently sit atop the points standings coming into this week’s events and are among the favorites to win.

Jamey Wilson holds a 65 points lead against Seymour’s David Brewer in the Super Stock division.

Seymour’s Jim Ruddick currently leads the points standings in the Pure Stock division.
