Thomas R. “Tom” Henley, 80, of Seymour passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, surrounded by family after a short illness at his home.

Born May 15, 1936, in Seymour, he was the son of Ray and Barbara Cockerham Henley, both of whom preceded him in death. On Dec. 16, 1995, he married Patricia Reichenbacker Rumph, who survives.

Tom retired in 1996 from Tom’s Standard service station that he opened in 1957. He was a 56-year member of the Elks Lodge in Seymour.

Other survivors include his children, Mark (Dana) Henley of Seymour, Kellie (Marcello) Fernandes of Coconut Grove, Florida, Sue (John) Tracey of Clermont, California, and Shari (Ed) Hawes of Indianapolis; stepchildren, Jonra (Phil) Rebber, Debbie (Dan) Gorbett, Jeff (Linda) Rumph and Andy (Brandy) Rumph; siblings, Terry (Jennifer) Henley of Ohio, Sandra (Ronald) Barnes of Arizona and Rayetta (Orville) Akers and Laura (Cullen) Stahl, all of Seymour; sister-in-law, Janice Henley of Ohio; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Timothy and Terry Henley, and a brother, Fred Henley.

A private service will be held at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre in Seymour.

Memorials be sent in his memory and made to Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
