NORTH VERNON

Joan Stearns, 72, of North Vernon, died Thursday, July 28, 2016, at her residence.

Survivors include her son, Bobby (Kay) Stearns of North Vernon; daughters, Ronda (Greg) Smith and Connie (Jimmy) Turner, both of North Vernon; brothers, Ray (Pat) Hall of Columbus and Jim (Barb) Hall of Holton; sisters, Beatrice Miniard of Hazard, Kentucky, Portia Lamb of Commiskey and Deb (Roger) Brewer of North Vernon; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry W. Stearns.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Monday.

Memorials may be made to donor’s choice of charity.
