The 192 animals sold during the annual 4-H livestock auction Saturday afternoon at the Jackson County Fair grossed $212,775.

The 109 swine sold for $84,775 or $777.75 a head; 24 dairy beef sold for $51,000 or $2,125 a head; 20 beef cattle sold for $49,850 or $2,492.50 a head; 14 sheep brought in $10,800 or $771.43 a head; and the 25 boer goats went for $16,350 or $654 a head.

The 221 animals that sold during the 2015 auction went for $253,425. In 2014, the 212 animals sold earned $249,100. And in 2013, 225 went to auction and sold for $241,700.
