NORTH VERNON

Alex Taylor Schmidt, 19, of North Vernon, died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Survivors include his parents, Rick (Velvet) Schmidt and Marie (James Hatton) Grider, all of North Vernon; brother, Joshua Littrell of North Vernon; sister, Lauren Schmidt of North Vernon; grandparents, Bill and Pat Schmidt of Madison and James Griffey of Clinton; and great-grandparents, Maurice and Jewell Grider of North Vernon.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

Memorials may be given to North Vernon Parks and Recreation-Skate Board Park.
