COLUMBUS

Barbara K. England, 70, of Columbus passed from this life at 6:10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at IU Health University-Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born March 30, 1946, in Columbus, she was the daughter of William A. and Roselene M. Townsend Robinson. She married James R. England on June 23, 1967, in Columbus.

Barb retired from Cummins Midrange Engine Plant in 2013 after working 29 years and was a member of the Diesel Workers Union. She was a member of Driftwood Christian Church in Vallonia. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, traveling and fishing.

Other survivors besides her husband of 49 years, include daughter, Wendy (John) Cash of Brownstown; son, Toby (Kelley) England of Columbus; sisters, Patricia Baldwin of Naples, Florida, and Sarah Temple of Evansville; grandchildren, Joshua Cash of Brownstown and Brett, Dylan and Megan England, all of Columbus; great-grandson, Jentry Cash of Brownstown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Shelia Robinson and Gladys Robinson.

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Michael Hogg and Lonny Goen officiating. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday.

Memorials may be made to Indiana Heart Center or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
