If you have a family member who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia disorder, Schneck Medical Center invites you to a free workshop on legal and financial planning considerations for those with the disease.
The program will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Aug. 18 in the Schneck Auditorium, just inside the visitors’ entrance at the Seymour hospital. Covered Bridge Health Campus will be providing refreshments.
Featured speaker Blake Reed, an attorney with Voelz, Reed, Mount LLC, will discuss financial power of attorney, living wills, Medicaid benefits, VA benefits and more.
The purpose of the workshop is to help people caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia deal with the stress of that care, according to a news release from Schneck. The hope is to help support their ongoing health and ability to cope so they can be in a better position to help the person they love.
