Janet Works won the auction item, and Lorainne Gallentine was presented with a going-away gift as she will soon be moving to Iowa.

President Nancy Hammond announced Kaitlin McPike would be sponsored by the club in the Jackson County Fair queen contest.

Guest Donna Sullivan spoke to the group about the upcoming mission trip to the Dominion Republic. This will be her seventh trip. The group going belongs to Seymour Christian Church and will take items to the people they visit.

In June, six members took their annual trip and traveled to Stream Cliff Farms for lunch and shopping.

The next meeting will be Aug. 11 at Hammond’s home and will be the annual pitch-in and picnic.
