VALLONIA

Dianna Mikels Root, 52, of Vallonia, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at her residence.

Born April 13, 1964, in Seymour, she was the daughter of David Mikels, who preceded her in death, and Anna Day Mikels, who survives in Norman. On June 1, 2014, in Tennessee, she married Eddie Root who also survives.

Dianna was a member of Leesville United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Other survivors include two stepsons, Axel Root of Vallonia and Ryan Branaman of Brownstown; a stepdaughter, Tabby Root of Vallonia; two brothers, Don (Becky) Mikels of Bedford and Randy (Rose) Mikels of Norman; two sisters, Jody (John) Taylor of Norman and Jessica Fleetwood (Bill Sebastian) of Brownstown; and two grandchildren, Zander Root and Krayton Root.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Spurgeon Funeral Home in Brownstown with Pastor George officiating. Burial will be at Valley Home Cemetery, Freetown.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday.
