NORTH VERNON

Mark Neal Updike, 58, of North Vernon died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at his residence.

Survivors include his son, Jacob “Jake” Updike of North Vernon; mother, Mary Jo Updike of North Vernon; brothers, Darryl R. Updike, Thomas (Tina) Updike and Jon Michael (Julie Totten) Updike, all of North Vernon; sister, Jo Ellen Updike of North Vernon; and his ex-wife, Debbie Updike.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Burial will be in Tea Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Jennings County.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday.

Memorials may be made for expenses.
