The Seymour volleyball program will be hosting a mini volleyball instructional league at Seymour Middle School for five consecutive Saturdays this fall starting Saturday.
Mini volleyball is an instructional volleyball league developed by USA volleyball to install a love of volleyball in all girls.
Each week girls will engage in activities that build hand-eye coordination, focus on a new volleyball skill, and spend time playing in teams of six on mini volleyball courts (court/net size and volleyball weight will vary depending on the age).
The league is open to all girls kindergarten through sixth grade currently attending a Seymour community school or a private school within the Seymour school district.
The kindergarten through third grade will have practice from 10 to 11:30 a.m. after the fourth- through sixth-graders go from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Signups are 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Seymour High School commons.
Late registrants can sign up Saturday at the middle school.
Price is $25 for preregistration or $30 for late signups.
