Mary June Hedden, 87, of Indianapolis died Friday, Aug. 19, 2016.

Born June 22, 1929, in Salem, she was the daughter of Clifford and Ofa Morris, both of whom preceded her in death.

Mary was a registered nurse for most of her life. She worked in hospitals in Seymour, San Antonio, Texas, and Indianapolis. She attended Salem High School, Columbus Hospital for her licensed practical nurse education and San Antonio University for her registered nursing degree.

She was a past member of Eastern Star and Tri Kappa. Her hobbies included cooking and sewing, and she very much loved making blankets and quilts for all of her family and friends.

Survivors include children Renee Purkis, Lana Klene, Jay Hunsucker, Jane (Al) Nuetzel and Eric Hunsucker; 12 grandchildren, Megan Purkis, Carrie (Keith) Klene-Riggs, Ed (Anne) Klene, Matt Klene, Brooke (Mike) Walden, Jamie Hunsucker, Bridget (Brian) Bundy, Jenna Hunsucker, Adam (Sarah) Nuetzel, Andrew (Tori) Nuetzel, and Alex (Joyce) Nuetzel and Max Hunsucker; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ralph Morris, Earl Morris and Carol Bennett; and her son-in-law, Ron Klene.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.
