Sondra Kay “Sandy” Hohenstreiter Zink, 65, of Seymour passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Aug. 9, 1951, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Glen and Gladys Combs Johnson.

Sandy was a member of the 1969 graduating class of Seymour High School. She worked at Graessle-Mercer for 37 years until her retirement. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, both of Seymour. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and “Gigi” especially loved her grandsons.

Survivors include her son, Dwayne (Kathy M.) Hohenstreiter; two grandsons, Trent and Trey Hohenstreiter; three sisters, Peggy (Donnie) Durham, Deborah (Louis) Kleber and Denise Walker; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Sandy Cooper officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday.
