The Jackson County Democratic Party plans to conduct a hog roast from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Jackson County Fairgrounds on State Road 250, east of Brownstown.

Shelli Yoder of Bloomington, the party’s candidate for Indiana’s Ninth Congressional District, will be the featured speaker. Other state and local candidates also plan to attend.

The cost is $10 per person.
