Hearts of Home Club August Meeting

Hearts of Home Extension Homemakers Club met for lunch Aug. 11 at Stahl’s Cafe and Deli in Ewing. Lunch was followed by the group’s monthly meeting at the Brownstown Public Library.

President Susan Robbins led members in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Linda Lock gave devotions titled “God Bless” and “Prayer from France.”

Debbie Shubert gave the health and safety lesson titled “Freeing Your Family of Stuff.”

Roll call was given by answering “What would you do with an extra hour a day?”

Janet Jarvis gave the citizenship lessons entitled “Bedford Blue Spring Caverns,” “Squire Boone Caverns” and “Bobby Knight.”

The thought for the day was read by Lock. Jarvis shared “Counting Your Blessings.”

Members received new Extension Homemaker booklets with the theme “Live Well, Laugh Often and Love Much.”

The next meeting will be Sept. 8 at Robbins’ home.
