Library offering Minecraft for kids, teens

The Jackson County Public Library will offer Minecraft for youth in Grades three through 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays beginning Sept. 3.

Minecraft, an online land where users can create their own world, also will be offered Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Oct. 29 and Nov. 12 in the computer classroom at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Space is limited to 12, and registration is required. Four more youth may participate but must provide their own laptop.

Minecraft also is offered at the Crothersville and Medora libraries. Laptops and iPads will be provided for a limit of 10 participants. Registration is required.

The program at the Crothersville Library for children in kindergarten will be offered at 5 p.m. Sept. 6, Oct. 4 and Nov. 1 and 6 p.m. Sept. 6, Oct. 4 and Nov. 1 for children in grades 4 through 6.

At the Medora Library, the game will be offered at 4 p.m. Sept. 20, Oct. 18 and Nov. 15 for youth in kindergarten through sixth grade.
