Norma E. Kieser, 95, of Seymour passed away at 5:40 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Lutheran Community Home.

Born Jan. 1, 1921, in Seymour, she was the daughter of William and Susanna Lambertus Preuss, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 18, 1937, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, she married Donovan O. Kieser, who preceded her in death in 2010.

She was a graduate of Shields High School and attended nursing college, where she became a licensed practical nurse. She worked for many years for Drs. Templeton, Blaisdell and Bosch.

Norma was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she served on the Ladies Aid and Braille Society. She loved her family and building dollhouses.

Survivors include three sons, Donavon (Deanna) Kieser, David (Cheryl) Kieser and Steve Kieser, all of Seymour; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Elvira Preuss, Verna Droege and Ruth Bickenheusere; and a brother, Carl Preuss.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, William, Paul and James; sister, Elta Lamphiere; infant son, William; and great-granddaughter, Adrienne Kieser.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg and the Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel in Seymour and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
