Bulldogs beat Braves

BROWNSTOWN

New Albany topped Brownstown Central 194-212 on Monday at Hickory Hills Golf Course.

The Bulldogs’ Kaylan Hook was medalist carding 41.

KaCee Collins shot the low for the Braves with 52.

Emma Zabor and Breonna Bottorff scored 53, Regan Campbell totaled 54 and Shelby Stuckwisch tallied 56 for Brownstown.

Today, the Braves will play at Western Hills Club against Salem and Eastern (Pekin).

Braves sweep Warriors

BROWNSTOWN

The Brownstown Central volleyball team made quick work of Mid-Southern Conference foe Scottsburg 25-9, 25-18, 25-11 on Monday.

Grace Jaynes led the Braves in both hitting and serving, going 25-for-28 with 12 kills in attacks and 15 of 15 with two aces from the line.

The Braves’ Ricayla Huff made all 14 of her serves and Brooklyn Snodgrass was perfect on her 11 tries.

As a team, the Braves were an efficient 71-for-74 serving and 74-for-84 hitting.

The Braves (5-4, 4-0 MSC) will play at New Albany on Thursday.
