Darlage

Ronnie and Brenda Darlage of Seymour will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary Sept. 2.

Their family honored them with a surprise dinner Aug. 28 at The Pines. The room was decorated in gold, emerald green and pink with fresh cut flowers and balloons. There were special songs playing in the background from their favorite artists of the late 1950s and early 1960s as well as a current favorite by Alan Jackson, “Remember When.”

Ronnie and the former Brenda Tuggle were married Sept. 2, 1961, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, with the Rev. Mack officiating.

The couple have three children, Tom and Ginger Darlage, Karen and Greg Wheatley and Cindy and Brent Marksberry; seven grandchildren, Josh Wheatley, Jennifer Darlage and Shawn Wilson, Josh and Ashley Acton, Kellie Darlage and Adam Walters, Tommy Darlage and Sam and Jack Marksberry; and four great-grandchildren, Hayley Wilson, Easton Acton and Ayden and Lyncoln Walters.

Since retiring as a founder of Crane Hill Machine, Ronnie enjoys restoring antique cars while Brenda lovingly makes quilts for her family. They also own and operate Hilltop Mobile Home Park.

Both are active members of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
