Jackson County Recycling District has planned a community shred, protect and recycle day for Sept. 17 at Vision Financial Group, 1010 W. Second St., Seymour.

Speedy Shred will be onsite to shred paper, and Sanders Technology Group will remove hard drives from computers. The hard drives will be destroyed, and all electronics, including televisions, will be recycled by Help the World Foundation.

The event, sponsored by Vision Financial Group, is free and open to public.
