CASPER, Wyo. — Authorities say a man and women arrested after a Wyoming car chase are suspected of going on a multi-state shopping spree with stolen money.

Converse County Undersheriff Justin Scott tells KTWO-AM ( ) that officers found evidence linking the couple to other states that have victims of thefts or burglaries.

The couple was taken into custody after a chase from Glenrock to Douglas last week. Officers recognized their SUV, which had Colorado plates, as one associated with an auto burglary and stolen credit card.

Scott says investigators are working with other law enforcement agencies in Montana, Washington, California, New Mexico, Missouri and Texas to piece together the case and track down victims.
