BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.
John W. Lockman, 66, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at North Collier Hospital in Naples, Florida.
Born Jan. 21, 1950, he was the son of Betty Sherrill Lockman of Greenwood and Glen D. Lockman, who preceded him in death.
John joined the U.S. Navy in 1971 and had served in California, Vietnam and Guam before he was discharged in 1973. He was a 1968 graduate of Fortville High School in Indiana. Later in 1971, he graduated from the Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Moose Lodge in Naples.
Other survivors include his wife, Kara Lockman of Bonita Springs; two children, Misty Lockman-Woods of Indianapolis and David Lockman of Greenfield; and a brother, Jerry (Debbie) Lockman of Greenwood.
A memorial service will be at a later date in Bonita Springs.
