Dorla Ann Leckermeyer Curry, 75, of Seymour passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born Sept. 16, 1940, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Edwin and Elizabeth N. “Betty” Carlock Leckermeyer, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 1, 1958, at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Seymour, she married Jerry Mac Curry who preceded her in death Oct. 23, 2007.

Dorla was a member of Peace Lutheran Church (formerly St. Paul United Church of Christ) in Seymour. She worked as a real estate agent for several years. In her younger days, she enjoyed bowling and trips to Florida. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.

Survivors include her children, Kevin (Sue) Curry, Kyle Curry and Kristin (Audie) Miller; five granddaughters, Stacy Curry, Emily Curry, Kimberly Curry, Kelly (Ryan) Williams and Asia LeeAnn Miller; a grandson, Keenan Curry Miller; three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Delaney and Eli Williams; two sisters, Donna Leckermeyer and Betty Jo “Joby” Moore; a sister-in-law, Jackie (Keith) Perry, two nieces, Lisa Morris and Lee Ann Ruf; and two nephews, Rick Chisham and Bryan Perry.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grand-niece, Carrie Ponder Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Barlau and the Rev. Andrew Currao officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice of charity.
