TAYLORSVILLE

Patricia Sue Foist, 75, of Taylorsville passed from this life at 6:55 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center in Columbus.

Born March 27, 1941, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Robert and Helen Boknecht Trueblood, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Jack D. Foist on July 19, 1959, and he survives.

Mrs. Foist was a homemaker and member of New Hope Christian Church and Ladies of the Moose. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, painting and cooking.

Other survivors besides her husband of 57 years, include her children, Gretta (Barry) Hoover and Angela (Fred) Bailey, all of Columbus, and Eric (Angela) Foist of North Vernon; grandchildren, Taylor Hoover, Meghan, Hannah, Sophie and Jacob Bailey and Erica (Amanda) Foist; a brother, William (Cindy) Trueblood of Gary; and a half brother, Paul Richard (Candy) Trueblood of Seymour.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta McFarren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at New Hope Christian Church with John Sichting officiating. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and noon to time of service Wednesday at the church.
