Fritz 60th Anniversary

Russell and Donna Fritz of Freetown recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip through southern Indiana, dinner at Key West Shrimp House in Madison and an afternoon of antique shopping.

Russell and the former Donna Anderson were married Aug. 31, 1956, at Freetown Church of Christ with Marion Ellis officiating.

The couple have four children, Craig (Kathy) Fritz of Brownstown, Eric Fritz of Columbus and Wayne (Sherri) Fritz and Charlene Mellencamp, both of Freetown; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Donna was employed at Arvin Industries and retired from Cummins Engine Co. She was a freelance writer for The Republic, The Tribune and The Banner.

Russell retired after 42 years as owner of Neal Paint and Wallpaper in Columbus.

Both are active members of Freetown Church of Christ, where Russell is an elder. Both are active in community restoration projects in Freetown, and Russell is curator of the Freetown and Pershing Township Museum.
