Indiana Department of Transportation officials invite residents, businesses and other interested parties to participate in a public meeting that will focus on two proposed roundabouts for the U.S. 50 bypass at North Vernon.

This informational meeting is set for Wednesday in the Jennings County High School auditorium at 800 W. Walnut St., North Vernon.

At 5:30 p.m., an open house session will allow attendees to view initial plans, maps and project materials. INDOT personnel and design engineers will be present to answer questions and listen to comments.

At 6 p.m., a formal presentation will explain plan development in detail for U.S. 50 roundabouts proposed at the west and east ends of the bypass.

During the evening, INDOT hopes to engage the North Vernon community in two-way conversations about proposed intersection improvements, individual preferences and concerns.
