Leslie W. Weimer, 63, of Seymour passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at his home.

Born Feb. 25, 1953, in Lafayette, he was the son of Herb Weimer, who survives, and Arabella Hollopeter Weimer, who preceded him in death.

Leslie was a 1971 graduate of Brownstown Central High School. As a teen, Leslie helped a local motorcycle shop doing repairs. In 1972, he went to work for Cummins Engine Co. and retired in 2003 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was a member of the National Street Rod Association. He had purchased a 1934 Ford and enjoyed working on that.

Survivors include his father Herb Weimer of Westcliffe, Colorado; sons, Seth (Jill) Weimer of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Andy Weimer of Brownstown; brother, Jay (Cookie) Weimer of Oxford, Alabama; sister, Holly (Danny) Donaldson of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Lillian, Evelyn and Harrison; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

No services are planned and cremation rites have been chosen.
