WOODBURY, N.Y. — Former Secretary of State Colin Powell will speak to Long Island business leaders just weeks before the November election.
The Long Island Association announced Tuesday that Powell will address approximately 1,000 of the island’s top business leaders at its annual fall luncheon on Oct. 25.
Powell will be interviewed in a one-on-one format by LIA President & CEO Kevin S. Law.
The LIA says Powell will be asked about the upcoming federal elections, national security and terrorism, the economy and other topics.
Many other national leaders, including former Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, have previously attended LIA functions.
