PHOENIX — Phoenix police say they don’t know a motive for a shooting in which two adults were wounded as they sat at a bus stop near a convenience store.

However, Sgt. Jonathan Howard says there’s no indication that the incident late Wednesday night is related to a case involving numerous shootings of people on or near streets.

Another Police Department spokesman says the shooter was in pickup truck at the store and drove off after the shooting.

Sgt. Vince Lewis says victims are expected to survive their injuries and haven’t been forthcoming with police investigating the shooting.

The incident happened near West Indian School Road and North 27th Avenue on the city’s west side.
