Bluegrass festival includes 15 bands

Norman Station Conservation Club will host its annual outdoor Fall Bluegrass Festival this weekend.

Fifteen bluegrass bands will be performing during the weekend from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday.

Friday’s lineup includes Norman Station, Tim and Susan Key, Evening Light, Straight Line, James White and Deer Creek and High Sierra.

Saturday’s schedule includes Norman Station, The Woodsmalls, Mount Liberty Way, Sure Shot Turkey Dusters, Hoosier Hills Bluegrass, Little Grains of Sand, Hallelujah Hillbillies and Brian Leaver and Friends.

For early camping arrivals and others, a pitch-in bean supper will be at 6 p.m. today at the main shelter house. Food will be provided for the duration of the festival by a local concession stand. Those attending may bring lawn chairs.

The club is in northwestern Jackson County on County Road 450N, a tenth of a mile east of County Road 1250W (Norman Road). Watch for signs.
