President Jackie Hill of Theta Omega chapter Phi Beta Psi sorority gave a special tribute and gift to Doris Baurle when the group recently met at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery in Seymour.

Baurle received the 2016 National Editor Award at the sorority’s national convention in July in Cleveland, Ohio.

Hostesses for the September social were Taryn Rockey, Amanda Reichenbacker and Cori Vaughn.

Following the dinner, a mixer name game was played.

Janet Cooper distributed the work and cookie signup sheets for the food tent at the Hen and Chicks Barn Market on Sept. 23 and 24.

Angi Reynolds, Baurle, Karen Schepman, Cooper and Joan Trimpe received door prizes.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Community Foundation of Jackson County office in Seymour.
