CROTHERSVILLE

Lawrence Edward Dart Sr., 87, of Crothersville passed away at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at his home.

Born Dec. 7, 1928, in Johnson County, he was the son of Burle and Nancy Opal Myers Dart. On Nov. 12, 1949, in Uniontown, he married Annabell Jane Perry Dart who survives in Crothersville.

Lawrence worked as a certified mechanic for Chevrolet for 28 years and several other car dealerships. He also owned and operated Dart’s Garage for seven years. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Seymour and was former president of Tri-County Conservation Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and running his beagle dogs.

Other survivors include three children, Vicki Dianna Roseberry and Lawrence E. “Eddie” Dart Jr., both of Crothersville, and Toni (Mark) Ensey of East Moline, Illinois; four grandchildren, Jessica Ann, Nicole, Michelle and Sarah Jane Ensey; and a sister, Helen Greathouse of Crothersville.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Applegate, and a son-in-law, Kenneth Roseberry.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with burial at Uniontown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
