CHICAGO — Police in Chicago have arrested a suspect in the robbery and shooting of a 71-year-old man who was attacked while watering his front yard.

A news release from the Chicago Police Department says officers arrested 30-year-old Antoine J. Davis outside his home Friday afternoon.

He was charged with felony counts of armed robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.

The Sept. 6 attack was caught on home surveillance video. It shows two men riding up to the man on bicycles. One of them shoves him to the ground, shoots him in the abdomen and rifles through his pockets before riding off.

The wounded man was taken to a hospital and underwent surgery.
