NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities say a New Jersey man has been charged with fatally shooting another man who was found dead in a car last week.

NJ.com reports (http://bit.ly/2dcwia3 ) the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office says 43-year-old Jose Soto, of Newark, has been arrested and charged with killing 25-year-old Travis Swepson.

Swepson’s body was found in a car early Friday in an industrial section of Newark. It was the first of three killings in the city in three consecutive days.

Soto has been jailed on $1 million bail. It’s not known if he has a lawyer.
