LANCASTER, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol has closed all southbound lanes of State Route 14 in northern Los Angeles County following crashes that involved at least four cars and left one person dead.
CHP Officer Stephan Brandt says another person was seriously injured in the collisions around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Lancaster area.
Brandt says there was an initial crash that likely led to a second collision. At least four cars were involved.
There’s no word how long the freeway about 70 miles north of downtown Los Angeles would remain closed.
