Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews will replace a pair of large drainage pipes under State Road 39 approximately 1.5 miles south of State Road 250 between Brownstown and Tampico — weather permitting — on Wednesday.

The north-south highway will close at 8 a.m. between Jackson County roads 300 South and 400 South.

Personnel from INDOT’s Scottsburg unit will install three new 48-inch pipes to satisfy drainage concerns. All work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m.
