Hearts of Home club has meeting

Hearts of Home Extension Homemakers Club met Sept. 8 at Susan Robbins’ home.

After the prayer, members enjoyed lunch and created their own specialty sundae for dessert.

Robbins, the club’s president, opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the Homemakers Collect.

Linda Lock gave devotions titled “Clouds and Darkness.”

Roll call, led by Robbins, was “Name a place where you like to go eat with your friends.”

Debbie Shubert gave the health and safety lesson titled “Trees of Life” and “Be a Food-Waste Warrior.”

Janet Jarvis gave the citizenship lessons entitled “The Mad, Mad, Mad Mary Kay Lady,” “The History of Corydon” and “Evansville, The Lady in Gray.”

The thought for the day was read by Robbins entitled “Real love is a really bad record keeper.”

Jarvis read from 1 Corinthians 14:21-40, “A Well-Ordered Body.”

The next meeting will be Oct. 6 at Huber’s Orchard.
