Beautification, hospitality group eyed for Brownstown

Brownstown/Ewing Main Street is planning to form a Brownstown beautification and hospitality group.

An exploratory meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at Dairy Queen.

Anyone with knowledge about landscaping and gardening and people who want to learn more about the group and its purpose may attend. Photographers and people who want to have fun and help promote Brownstown and Jackson County also may attend.

This group will become the official volunteer coordinators for future volunteer workdays to help with maintenance of Brownstown visitor area grounds. Several volunteer groups already have agreed to help with future projects.

Also, when in the future Brownstown becomes part of a bus tour program, volunteers will be needed to serve guests.
