ST. PAUL, Minn. — St. Paul police have arrested two suspects in the fatal shooting of a teenage girl over the weekend.

Police announced the arrests Monday but provided no details.

Earlier, the Minnetonka School District said the girl who was shot and killed was a high school junior.

Samantha Burnette died at the scene of the shooting about 7:30 a.m. Sunday. Another young female was injured and taken to Regions Hospital. Witnesses say a third young woman was also present, but not injured.

The shooting happened in an alley on St. Paul east side.
