BOSTON — Police say one man is dead after an early morning shooting in Boston.

Officers responded to an apartment complex in the city’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood at about 1 a.m. Tuesday where they found a man suffering gunshot wounds to the chest.

He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The victim’s name was not immediately made public.

There was no word on arrests. Police are looking at surveillance video from the area and are asking witnesses to contact them.
